University officials are monitoring Hurricane Eta and expect to experience gusty wind and heavy rain in the Orlando area beginning this evening through tomorrow morning.
As a result, the status of the University activities on the Orlando campus for today, Wednesday, November 11, 2020, is as follows:

Palm Beach Atlantic will resume business office hours and classes as usual beginning Tuesday, November 10, at 8 a.m. on the West Palm Beach campus. All Faculty and Staff should report to the campus at your regularly scheduled time, and classes will resume as originally scheduled.

Thank you for your patience as our Palm Beach Atlantic family experienced Tropical Storm Eta on the West Palm Beach campus. The campus had debris from trees and landscaping on the grounds. Unfortunately, the tree in our Q lot went down, however, surrounding vehicles did not experience damage. We are thankful that overall, damage was minimal.
The current status of the University is as follows:
· Housing:
o Although some residence halls experienced power outages during the storm, all are open and power has been restored.
· Dining:
o Einstein Bros. Bagels opened at 11 a.m. (only accepting cash and PBA Card at this time)
o The Market opened at 11 a.m. (only accepting cash and PBA Card at this time)
o Fraser Dining Hall opened at 11 a.m.
o Chick-fil-A opened at 11 a.m. (only accepting cash and PBA Card at this time)
· Classes
o All courses normally held face-to-face have been moved to Zoom or other method as determined by the professor for today only.
· Employees:
o Faculty in West Palm Beach should return to work according to their class schedule beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10.
o Staff in West Palm Beach should return to work tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10.
· Residential Students:
o If you have an area of concern in your building that you would like to report, please submit a work order via the campus work order system.
Our Orlando campus is up and running without interruption.

University officials continue to monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Eta. We are currently experiencing wind and rain and anticipate the most hazardous conditions late this evening into early tomorrow morning. Please use caution if you must move about Palm Beach County during this time.
