The Titus Center for Franchising is leading franchise professionals through the upheaval caused by the new coronavirus with a webinar series featuring its experts.
Dr. John P. Hayes, director of the Titus Center, tapped into the expertise of advisory board members in response to calls from those who wanted to know what they could do to help. The first webinar tackled immediate steps franchise professionals can take to offset the impact of the virus. The second focused on "How to Get Your Piece of the CARES Act." The third webinar 1 p.m. April 2 is "The New Normal for Food Franchisors and Franchisees." The capacity is 100 people, accommodated on a first come, first served basis. Tune in here.
“The franchise community sees the Titus Center as a resource not only in good times, but in times of crisis, too,” Hayes said. “We quickly arranged the first conference, which has led to a second and a third.”
Cheikh "Check" Mboup, president and COO of Edible Arrangements; Madison Jobe, chief development officer of Wingstop and Craig Erlich, president and CEO of Brix Holdings - Smoothie Factoy, Souper Salad, Red Mango and RedBrick Pizza will share on the third webinar how they're pivoting in response to the crisis.
Hayes moderated the first conference with Ray Titus, founder of United Franchise Group; A.J. Titus, president of Signarama; Geoff Seiber, FranFund CEO and Alan Burger, litigation and franchise attorney at McDonald Hopkins. All are Titus Center Advisory Board members, and the University recognized Seiber as a companion medalist at American Free Enterprise Day last fall.
Ray Titus explained how United Franchise Group cut expenses, and A.J. Titus communicated how Signarama promoted the success of its franchisees. Burger offered insight on navigating loans and layoffs. Seiber updated franchisors and franchisees on how they can take advantage of the financial relief package. Watch the full webinar here.
Seiber and Ron Feldman, chief development officer of ApplePie Capital, spoke about the relief package in-depth on the second call.
