Hedrick Brothers Construction announced today they have been selected by Pembroke Student Housing LLC to build a new student residence hall on the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic University at 351 Pembroke Place. The 163,000-plus square foot, eight-story building will consist of 154 one and two-bedroom units with double occupancy accommodations for 510 beds. Construction is under way and completion is anticipated for Q3 2020.
“The Hedrick Brothers Construction team is proud to be able to build a new student residence hall for the Palm Beach Atlantic University campus,” said Dale Hedrick, president & founder, Hedrick Brothers Construction. “Students will have a great new option for residence life.”
“The University is responding to student requests for additional campus housing along with more amenities built into the new residence,” Palm Beach Atlantic University President William M. B. Fleming, Jr. said. “The growing interest in campus residency corresponds with research that shows living on campus helps students succeed at higher levels both academically and in their development as young adults.”
The new student residence hall will have apartment style units with full kitchens, a large meeting/conference space and community and private study spaces on each floor.
