About the Exhibitionart

As an artist, I have the pleasure of expressing on canvas everyday occurrences that are often overlooked, yet when viewed a little closer have the ability to instill joy into our lives, especially when times are hard and life seems difficult.  A desire of mine is for the viewer to behold the beauty of the Lord in these common occurrences: a pathway to the beach, a tattered old boat, a sunlit garden or a timeworn cottage.  As you imagine being there, my prayer for you is to discover the joy found in each of my paintings, especially the simple things this life offers.  “The joy of the Lord is my strength”.  Nehemiah 8:10

Artist StatementKathleen

Creating joy in my paintings through everyday subjects is a top priority.  As a native Floridian my oil paintings often capture the familiar sun-drenched light in scenes causing the viewer to feel the warmth of the day.  My art development began with lessons at age 4 and continued with a BFA degree from the University of Miami.  The process I have developed is one that starts with reality and ends with creativity, filled with colorful brushstrokes and dynamic movement.  Since 1995, many of my images are licensed to manufacturers worldwide including HomeGoods, Marshalls, TJ Max and Bed, Bath & Beyond, appearing on home decor products such as wallpaper, kitchenware, and giftware.  Enjoy viewing and collecting my original oil paintings found at exhibits, galleries, juried plein air events and my website at
