Palm Beach Atlantic University Policies to Note:
Government Funds: The Board of Trustees’ policy is that the University does not seek or accept government funds from federal, state, or local sources with the single exception of direct financial aid to students.
Proposal Submission: The Board of Trustees’ policy is that formal written proposals to individuals, corporations, foundations, or any other grantor entity by an employee of the University must be reviewed and approved prior to formal written submission. Proposals of less than $50,000 must be approved by the Executive Vice President for Advancement. Proposals of $50,000 or more must be approved by the President.
New Academic Programs: Prior to contacting the development office, the Provost’s office must approve all new academic programs.
Projects impacting faculty load, classroom or facility space: Prior to contacting the development office, the School Dean and Provost’s office must approve all projects impacting faculty load, classroom or facility space.
Contacting Foundations and Corporations: Inform the advancement office of conversations or correspondence with potential funders.
Procedures to submit a proposal:
It starts with your ideas: Either you contact the development office with an idea in need of a funder or we contact you seeking your expertise in response to a “Request for Proposal.”
Note: Requests should only be submitted once all information and materials are ready for the marketing office. Failure to provide complete information will prevent or delay your project's completion. If you would simply like to talk through ideas or future projects, please contact Mary Ward at Mary_Ward@pba.edu. Thank you!
