Testing Services Provided
VO2 max is considered the criterion measure of cardiorespiratory fitness and a predictor of endurance performance. VO2 max refers to the maximum amount of oxygen an individual can utilize during exercise. The test is performed on a bike or a treadmill, and involves exercising at increasing intensities every few minutes until reaching exhaustion.)
Anaerobic threshold analysis reveals the point at which individuals “hit a wall” during exercise or training. More specifically, these measures lactate during exercise. This provides the subject with information on appropriate training levels and overall fitness levels.
This test is performed on a cycle ergometer and requires the client to exert maximal effort over a 30 second ride. The test is useful for determining anaerobic power and the capacity of the phosphocreatine/glycolytic energy systems.
Utilizing high-speed cameras and motion capture software, this testing analyzes running or walking gait (form, stride pattern and rate, pronation, etc..). Values obtained can assist in detecting potential weaknesses and future injuries.
This analysis provides precise feedback on any bodily movement, allowing diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal abnormalities, as well as assessment of physical function and movement.
This test allows the assessment of body compartments, particularly lean body mass and % body fat. This testing utilizes a BodPod® and bioelectrical impedance to provide the most accurate measurement possible.
Hydration is vital for optimal performance and health. Urine-specific gravity measures the density (concentration) of a urine sample and provides a value to rate hydration status. A small urine (USG) sample is collected and then measured by a refractometer (hand held device) with results displayed within seconds. This test can be done on a daily basis.
This system utilizes various fitness tests and assessments to assess overall fitness and health status.
