The Master of Arts Philosophy of Religion offers rigorous training in a wide range of philosophical topics presented from a Christian frame of reference with a view to equipping graduates to engage in (para)church ministry, to make an impact in the public square, and to do further work in philosophy.

About our Master of Arts Philosophy of Religion program:

PBA’s MAPR program offers a well-rounded education from top-tier Christian philosophers in the context of a kingdom-minded graduate student community preparing for church ministry.

  • The Church: This program will straddle academy and church, which includes preparing some graduates to serve in (para)church settings and for academically-oriented graduates to bring the resources of the academy to the church
  •  The Public Square: The MAPR will also raise up Christian public intellectuals who can speak insightfully and clearly within various spheres of public life—politics, law, economics, media, broader culture
  • The Academy: The MAPR will prepare graduates for Ph.D. philosophy programs in leading universities in order to have an influence for Christ in the academy
