The Department of Education at Palm Beach Atlantic University prepares highly competent teachers for diverse classrooms through academic and clinical experiences. If you would like to teach children the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, the major of Elementary Education is for you. With the component of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), you will study applied linguistics, including first- and second-language acquisition, major methodologies, and current trends in ESOL teaching and assessment. In addition, this program provides the flexibility to spend your second semester of student teaching abroad in an approved Christian school.
