Watch Philip & Jennifer’s Story

In this video, Philip and Jennifer Rothschild share their journey from high school graduation in 1982 to attending Palm Beach Atlantic University. They face challenges of being legally blind while seeking independence. The university experience enhances their leadership skills and allows them to explore personal gifts in music and worship leadership. They recognize the support of their partner and highlight the significance of faithfulness and humility in achieving their dreams.

Highlights of Philip & Jennifer’s Story

Jennifer Rothschild came to PBA seeking independence after losing most of her eyesight. Someone visited her church in Miami and shared about a new university in West Palm Beach with the motto, “Come Grow With Us.” That message resonated deeply, and Jennifer chose to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University.

As for Philip, he found a place to exercise his gifts and grow as a leader. He says, “PBA showed me how to become a servant leader and transform my life.” Small opportunities on campus (leading workship, playing piano, and growing a Bible study from dozens to hundreds) became the training ground for a lifetime of ministry.

Jennifer and Philip formed a ministry partnership: she became the voice of the program while Philip was the noticer by encouraging her musical gifts. Together they went on to record music, lead worship across the country, write, and teach—each opportunity flowing from the formative experiences and encouragement they received at PBA.

Their God-Sized dream is simple and practical: to be faithful with the next choice, to make others feel known and seen, and to lead by putting others first. For them, lifelong ministry looks like everyday faithfulness—serving others, nurturing gifts, and trusting God with the next step.
