Watch Justus’ Story

In this video, Justus Verge shares how his experience as a student-athlete and Master of Divinity student at PBA helped him discover his calling to ministry and missions through mentorship, faith, and global outreach.

Highlights of Justus’ Story

Justus Verge is pursuing his Master of Divinity at PBA while competing as a member of the golf team. His journey to Palm Beach Atlantic began during a junior golf tournament in Miami, where he first connected with the PBA coach. What stood out to him was not just the athletic opportunity, but the coach’s commitment to building a Christian culture that prioritized spiritual growth above all else.

As a student-athlete, Justus has competed on top courses across the country, sharpening his skills while being part of a team that values both excellence and faith. He describes West Palm Beach as a “paradise for golf,” where he has been able to grow athletically while remaining grounded spiritually.

Justus’ calling to ministry began years earlier during a mission trip to Cuba. There, he witnessed churches with only one Bible to share among congregants. Seeing the joy on their faces when they received new Bibles left a lasting impression and planted a seed in his heart for missions and the Gospel.

At PBA, that calling became clear. Through his seminary studies, mentorship from professors, and participation in CMGlobal mission trips, Justus has grown in both knowledge and spiritual maturity. He credits the faculty—many with global academic backgrounds—for pouring into him and helping shape his identity and purpose.

Justus reflects on how dramatically his life has changed during his time at PBA. What began as uncertainty about his future has turned into a confirmed calling to pastoral ministry and missions. He encourages others not to hold back, trusting that God can work in ways beyond what they could imagine.
