In the Music Department, we help you develop into a versatile musician who hears, writes and performs music intelligently and critically, who demonstrates knowledge of the historical and cultural contexts of musical works and who combines artistic and musical integrity with Christian character.

As a music professional, you may be called upon to use your talents in your community and your church. To help you develop these talents, we'll train you in a variety of musical competencies and expose you to a wide range of musical styles.

We emphasize the choral arts and our courses in subjects like composition, voice performance and church music will prepare you for expanding opportunities in the music field.

You'll be nurtured here in an environment where traditional musical studies find common ground with the liberal arts and the practical demands of the music profession in a community of shared Christian values.
