Deans

Dean, School of Education & Behavioral Studies
Type: Full-Time 
Date Available: Fall 2018

The Dean is the administrator of the academic program of the school and reports directly to the Provost.

 The Dean is responsible for providing leadership and administrative oversight for all programs of the school. The dean makes recommendations regarding the academic budgets and personnel within the school and ensures that all aspects of the school operate within institutional policies. The dean serves on the Council of Deans, the chief academic decision-making group within the university, and the Provost’s Administrative Council,  the chief policy and procedure coordinating group within the university. The dean may also teach up to 6 credit hours each academic year. 

Qualifications:

Education:  An earned doctorate in a discipline within the school 

 Experience: significant teaching experience and research capability. 

Dean, School of Music & Fine Arts
Type: Full-Time 
Date Available: Fall 2018/2019

Qualifications:

Education:  a terminal degree (or equivalency) in the discipline within the school or other related fine or performing art that is commensurate with the expectations of the position.

 Experience: significant administrative experience in an academic or nonacademic setting.


Campus Information Services

 

Database Manager
Type: Full - time

The right candidate will manage the database operations team to deliver and support new and existing database systems. Guide the team in implementing best practices in database administration and automation for existing and new databases and systems. Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the university's databases. Aid in all aspects of DBMS including creating data structures (tables, indexes, and views), backups, and queries as needed. Perform SQL and database tuning (performance) in an MS Windows SQL client/server environment. Support client connectivity to the databases utilizing various client software. Responsible for the coordination, management, and successful completion of special projects as directed by Campus Information Services Leadership. 


Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required. Major in business, computer information systems, or related field preferred. Experience with systems analytics and Microsoft Access preferred. 

 


 

Campus Safety & Security

Director

The Director of Campus Safety & Security oversees all campus security operations that are designed to prevent and respond to any safety and security situations at the University. This 12 month, exempt position reports to the Senior Vice President. 


Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Higher Education Administration, Organizational Leadership or a related field from an accredited higher education institution. Prefer a Master's degree in a related field. Must have minimum of 5 years experience in law enforcement. Prefer experience at a university level. A combination of the above listed requirements.

The Safety and Security Officer will be responsible for patrol and enforcement responsibilities under the Director of Campus Safety and Security. These responsibilities include pro-active patrol of all campus property, the detection of the violation of Federal, State and local laws, enforcement of parking regulations, completion of incident reports, and escorting students, faculty and staff to and from buildings when requested, among other responsibilities assigned. Along with this they will need an understanding of Christian higher education, basic knowledge of safety and security techniques, positive interpersonal skills, and the ability to respond professionally to inquiries and complaints from students, parents, staff, faculty, and various other constituencies of the university. 


Qualifications: A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Law enforcement/security training or experience is preferred. Valid Florida Driver's license Required.

Dispatch
Type: Part- time

The dispatcher's position is a skilled emergency and non-emergency task work that involves receiving emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance, determining nature and urgency of the calls, initiating Campus Safety and Security or other emergency personnel response, and maintaining close contact with field units to monitor response and needed support requirements. This position requires a considerable degree of initiative and independent judgment with procedural boundaries in responding to emotional, disturbed and sometimes abusive people in a variety of situations. Work may be done separately or in conjunction with other dispatchers, officers, and or administrative staff. 


Qualifications: A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


 

Finance, Administration and Planning 

Risk Management Coordinator
Type: Full - time

The Risk Management Coordinator (RMC) serves as the central point of coordination for PBA's Risk management program and is responsible for integrating risk management principles and practices into university operations, workers compensation services, contract compliance with risk management standards, and the development of policies and procedures. Also, coordinates the implementation of the Chemical Hygiene Plan. 

Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in a collegiate setting or for a senior executive. Prefer a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

 

Human Resources

Generalist

Type: Full - time

To provide professional, efficient and customer focused administrative support to the PBA community and guests. The primary focus is to assist in making the onboarding process a great experience for all new hires, process new employee information and to provide accurate benefits management. This position mainly operates out of the Human Resources Front Desk. The normal work week schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Orlando Campus

Faculty Secretary

Type: Part- time

The Secretary is responsible for delivering administrative and operational support to full-time Faculty members at the Orlando Campus. In addition, the Secretary provides a wide array of services that support the success of the students at the Orlando Campus. Other duties as assigned. (This is a part-time position with no benefits)

Qualifications: High school diploma; associate degree preferred. Minimum of two years secretarial experience in business or education setting. 

 


Financial Aid

Counselor

Gregory School of Pharmacy 

Assistant Director, Experiential Programs
Type: Part-Time

The Assistant Director, Experiential serves as the first-line of professional/pharmacist staff support to the Sr. Director of Experiential & Interprofessional Programs within the School of Pharmacy, assisting his/her in all aspects of the development, implementation and evaluation of the introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experience. 

Qualifications: A Doctor of Pharmacy degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree with commensurate experience is required.  

GCMM Coordinator 
Type: Full-Time

The Coordinator provides primary administrative and office-based support to the Director, Gregory Center for Medical Missions (GCMM) and the office of the Associate Dean for Academics. The Coordinator will serve as a primary liaison between the GCMM and both internal and external partners of the Center - Coordinating communication, marketing, finances, development and related initiatives. The coordinator will also hold primary responsibility for managing the logistics of Gregory School mission teams. Support for the office of the Associate Dean for Academics will be composed, primarily, student records management and communication and oversight of events associated with the office of the Associate Dean. 

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, with office or administrative experience. Other educational training or experience may be considered.
