King Scholar to Present Three-Part Series on Civil Rights Movement

Dr. Terriel ByrdDr. Terriel Byrd, professor of urban Christian ministry at Palm Beach Atlantic University, will speak on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the American Civil Rights Movement during three Sundays in February at the Mandel Public Library, 411 Clematis St., West Palm Beach.

All presentations are open to the public and will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Clematis Room.

Feb. 5:  Martin Luther King Jr. – The Creation of a Civil Rights Legacy (Civil Rights 1954 to 1968)

Feb. 12: Civil Rights and American Culture (Civil Rights 1969 to 2015)

Feb. 19: Civil Rights Movement from 2015 forward – What does it all mean?

Byrd is the author of several books, including By This Shall We Be Known: Interpreting the Voice, Vision and Message of Martin Luther King Jr.
