After a competitive search process for our next dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) welcomes Dr. Aimee Franklin to serve as dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, beginning in March 2026.
After completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southeastern University, Dr. Franklin received her doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was honored as a Howard Hughes Med-Grad Fellow. Dr. Franklin comes to us after serving at Southeastern University as professor of biology and vice provost of faculty affairs and community initiatives.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Palm Beach Atlantic University and to join a community so deeply committed to Christ-centered education and academic excellence,” Dr. Franklin said. “I look forward to learning alongside the faculty, supporting their work, and stewarding the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences in ways that serve our students well.”
“Dr. Aimee Franklin is a leader who brings a depth of experience and charisma to champion faculty excellence, elevate the humanities and sciences, and form students to grow in wisdom, lead with conviction, and serve God boldly,” said Dr. Stephen Johnson, provost and chief academic officer.
