Dr. Stephanie Bryan, adjunct professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance, recently published a manuscript in the Journal of Integrative and Complementary Medicine examining gratitude as a mind-body-spirit practice in optimizing health and human functioning. She also authored a children’s book on gratitude, which you can explore here.
Dr. Elias Hajj Chahine, professor and chair of pharmacy practice, presented the poster “Real-World Outcomes of Cabotegravir/Rilpivirine in Older People with HIV” at the ASCP Annual Meeting in San Diego, earning a Top Poster Award.
Dr. Paul Copan, professor of philosophy and ethics, served as moderator for the Deification Study Group panel discussion at the Evangelical Theological Society Annual Meeting in Boston, held Nov. 17–19, 2025. His role supported scholarly dialogue on theological perspectives across the field.
Dr. Wanjiru Gitau, assistant professor of practical theology and world Christianity, participated in a panel discussion at the World Evangelical Alliance General Assembly in Seoul, South Korea, held Oct. 27–31, 2025. Her contribution helped frame global conversations on faith, culture, and evangelical engagement.
Jin Hanley, associate professor and chair of dance, led the Global Dance Immersion in Korea, building a new partnership with the city of A-san and coordinating an exchange with Hanyang University ERICA while arranging classes with prominent local teachers and companies. Hanley also earned a Certificate of Commendation from the city of A-san and presented “The Power of Authentic Assessment and Finding Funding” at the National Dance Education Organization Conference.
Stella Almblade, adjunct professor of dance, traveled with Hanley to teach musical theatre courses at Hanyang University ERICA in Korea as part of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s expanding international dance collaboration. Her participation supported the Global Dance Immersion initiative and strengthened academic ties with the university.
Sean Radford, assistant professor of commercial music, won the Faculty Fellows Award from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation and The College Music Society for his work serving student populations. He will be honored at the 2026 NAMM Show.
Dr. Gregory Rummo, lecturer of chemistry, published a review titled, “The Case for a Creator, Backed by Science,” in Minding the Campus, Nov. 5, 2025. The article reviewed the recently translated book, “God, the Science, the Evidence,” by Michel-Yves Bollore and Olivier Bonnassies.
Dr. Brian Shockey, assistant professor of ministry and director of the Accelerated Ministry Program, authored the book chapter “The Curious Case of Holiness in the Historical Books” in “Holiness in the Old Testament: A Textual and Thematic Analysis,” published by Kregel Academic. The chapter was released Oct. 28, 2025.
Dr. Austin Stevenson, assistant professor of theology, published “Christian Vaccine Hesitancy: The Church Between Science and State” in Zygon: Journal of Religion and Science, a leading peer-reviewed journal in science and religion. The open-access article appeared Nov. 6, 2025.
Dr. Jackie Yong, assistant professor of piano, presented his paper and lecture recital, “Identity in Repertoire: The Psychology and Pedagogy of Recital Programming Redefining Latin American Concert Music: Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances,” at the UCSI Piano Pedagogy Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also presented at the Florida State Music Teachers Association Conference in Amelia Island and at the College Music Society National Conference in Spokane, Washington.
