Biography

Before coming to PBA, Dr. Viale was an assistant professor at Florida Atlantic University where he taught undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. level courses, and served as a member of several doctoral committees. His research focus is primarily in asset pricing, market microstructure, financial econometrics, and international finance. His recent publications include the Review of Asset Pricing Studies, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Financial Stability, and Quantitative Finance. He has also presented his research in several national and international peer-reviewed conferences such as the Financial Management Association, the Southern Finance Association, the Econometric Society, and the International Paris Finance (EUROFIDAI-AFFI) meetings. Dr. Viale has previous experience in the finance industry as a certified stock broker and investment adviser. He received a Catholic-oriented education under the intellectual tradition of Dominican and Jesuit fathers. He is an active member of St. Therese de Lisieux Catholic Church of Wellington, Florida.
