Biography
Dr. Marcus A. Valenzuela is an Associate Professor of Management in the Rinker School
of Business at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He received his Ph.D. from New Mexico State
University and holds an M.Ed. as an Instructional Specialist and an MBA from the University of
Texas at El Paso. His research interests lie within the fields of organizational behavior and
human resource management (HRM) with a focus on two main areas: (1) immigrants,
sojourners, and other minority workers, and (2) the influence of “acculturation” on these workers
and implications for business organizations. He is a member of the Academy of Management,
the International Academy of Intercultural Relations, and the Management and Organizational
Behavior Teaching Societ
