Dr. Valenzuela’s professional experience includes several years in the education and management fields, including in organizations such as Hewlett-Packard. His main teaching and research interests include organizational behavior, with a secondary interest in human resource management and management education. In his research, he is especially interested in immigrant workers in the US, acculturation and its effects on the workplace, and international students. He is a member of the Academy of Management and has served as ad-hoc reviewer for multiple journals, including the Academy of Management, Southern Management Association, and the International Journal of Human Resource Management.
