Biography

Dr. Yarsley joins Palm Beach Atlantic University as full-time faculty following 15 years of experience in hospital pharmacy. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency in acute care pharmacy at Orlando Health, in Orlando, FL and gained experience in adult and pediatric hospital pharmacy. Following residency, Dr. Yarsley became board-certified in Pharmacotherapy and honed skills in adult and pediatric patients, working as a clinical pharmacist until she was promoted to Clinical Pharmacy Manager of Palms West Hospital in 2011.

Dr. Yarsley comes to PBA with 10 years of pharmacy management experience in implementing, leading and participating in various initiatives including those related to medication safety, formulary management, guideline and policy implementation, automation, pharmaceutical research, regulatory compliance, staff and medical resident education, antimicrobial stewardship, pain management, medication use evaluations, controlled substance management, chemotherapy safety, and various other medication-related projects. As a pharmacist and manager, she has precepted 3rd and 4th year pharmacy students, providing rotations in pediatrics, drug information, hospital administration, hospital pharmacy, and infectious disease. She continues to be active in her local Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP), having served as president of the Palm Beach Society of Health-System Pharmacists (PBSHP) and currently serves as CE coordinator. Dr. Yarsley lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and 4-year-old daughter.
