Biography

Don Piper is a director and editor with a vast variety of professional experiences ranging from international and domestic production of classical/sacred music television programs to documentaries and music videos. His career has literally taken him around the world to such locations as Calcutta, India to Cape town, South Africa, to Russia documenting the lives of prominent people such as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, and Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Piper has served as Director and Editor of the award-winning weekly television program, The Joy of Music, for over 32 years. The Joy of Music is taped on location and has originated from all the major churches and cathedrals throughout Europe and the United States. Since 1983, Piper has taught university level film and video production courses at both Evangel University and Regent University. While at Regent University, Piper, Executive Produced over 50 music videos for many of the prominent Nashville Christian Music labels of the time. He has also provided over 20 years of editorial training and consulting to professionals in the industry and continues to provide education services and consulting to such clients as The US Air Force, The Federal Emergency Management Agency, The US Navy, The Speed Channel, The US Army, to name a few. Don Piper’s four-decade-long career in the communication industry included work as a television journalist, videographer, weather anchor, news anchor, and editorial support for NBC Olympics.  His management experience includes radio station Operations Management and Television news Assignment Editor.  Additionally, he has served on the Pastoral staff of several churches of the years currently serving as Teaching Pastor at Bethel Church in Palm Springs, Florida.
