Biography

Dr. Richard Nii Lante Lamptey is an experienced pharmacist and pharmaceutical scientist with a strong background in research and teaching. His expertise lies in the synthesis of nanocarriers and improving their design and performance for drug and gene delivery, particularly for the treatment of neurogenic disorders. Currently, Dr. Lamptey’s research focuses on brain-targeted delivery of drugs and biologics using nanoparticles.

Dr. Lamptey has received academic and research training from reputable institutions such as Novartis Pharma AG in Basel, Switzerland, and the United States Pharmacopeial Convention’s Center for Pharmaceutical Advancement and Training (CePAT) in Accra, Ghana. In addition to his research work, Dr. Lamptey has worked as a registered pharmacist in Ghana, where he provided pharmaceutical care, offered drug therapy advice to patients, and managed adverse event and product quality complaint reporting. He has also made valuable contributions to improving medical protocols and patient care in hospital settings.

Dr. Lamptey is an active member of professional associations including the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS), American Heart Association, American Association of College Pharmacists, and the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH). Dr Lamptey loves to volunteer for medical missions. His dedication to teaching, research, and pharmaceutical sciences drives him to advance the field of drug delivery and contribute to the development of innovative therapies for neurogenic disorders.
