Biography

Dr. Nathaniel Hill earned his bachelor’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and completed his Ph.D. in International Business at the University of South Carolina. He joined Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2025, where he teaches courses on Global Business and related disciplines. Dr. Hill’s research examines the role of market-based approaches in addressing persistent social and economic challenges. His work focuses particularly on entrepreneurship as a tool for economic development and the structural barriers that limit the scalability of ventures in developing countries. These interests are informed by his professional experience prior to academia, including seven years in the microfinance sector in Africa, during which he spent two years living and working in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. Outside of his academic work, Dr. Hill enjoys traveling, especially when it involves scuba diving or skiing. He has completed more than 100 scuba dives and aspires to one day open his own dive operation. He and his wife, Allie, have two children, Grayson and Charleston.
