Biography
Reverend Dr. Marcus D. Davidson is the Senior Pastor of New Mount Olive Baptist Church and an adjunct professor and Preaching Fellow for the Voice for Change Preaching Initiative at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida. He is married to Yvokia Davidson, and they have one daughter, Layla Alexandria. He has thirty-three years of preaching, teaching, and ministerial experience. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Normal, Alabama; Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama; an MBA from Louisiana State University-Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana; a Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in Black Church Leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky; a Ph.D. in Practical Theology from Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida. He studied at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, and abroad at the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Dr. Davidson is a gospel recording artist, author, and entrepreneur. He has served and continues to serve on numerous professional and public boards including immediate past President, Youth and Young Adults Auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.; Board of Trustees, Florida Memorial University; Chairman of the Board of Directors and Board Member of the National USA Foundation, Inc.; Board Member for Community Education Alliance, Inc., a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Rho Boulé, a member of Theta Kappa Alpha, national honor society for religious studies and theology, and Sigma Iota Epsilon Management Fraternity.
