Biography

Dr. Bain serves as director of Writing Central. She is also the editor of PBA’s research publication, Bridges: Spotlight on Emerging Research. She currently serves as a faculty advisor for PBA’s Sigma Tau Delta chapter of the English Honor Society. Her research focuses on multimodal composition and advanced practices of composition across the disciplines.

Dr. Bain is a member of the National Council for Teachers of English and serves as the editor of its peer-reviewed journal, FORUM: Issues about Part-Time and Full-Time Contingent Faculty. 

Her scholarly works have appeared in Double Helix: A Journal of Critical Thinking and Writing, Praxis: A Writing Center Journal, WAC Repository, Composition Studies, and FORUM: Issues about Part-Time and Full-Time Contingent Faculty. 

Dr. Bain enjoys working in her local church’s youth ministry and serves in the Awana program.
