Biography

An Illinois native, Dr. DePatis joined the faculty as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice in July 2020 after completion of both her PGY1 residency in pharmacy practice and PGY2 residency in ambulatory care pharmacy at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Gregory School of Pharmacy. During those two residency years, she developed a passion for both chronic disease management and teaching. Dr. DePatis teaches in drug information, the integrated pharmacotherapy sequence, and the case studies series. She is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist (BCACP) and serves as a preceptor for fourth-year pharmacy students in a small private family medicine practice, Elite Coastal Healthcare, where she provides innovative and sustainable clinical pharmacy services including Medicare annual wellness visits, chronic care management, hormone replacement therapy, pharmacogenomic testing and reviews, and more. She serves on both the Residency Advocacy Committee and Student Affairs Committee within the School of Pharmacy. Dr. DePatis is actively involved in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Her research areas of interest include scholarship of teaching and learning and sustainability of pharmacy services. Dr. DePatis is thrilled to continue her service to PBA and desires to make a lasting impact on her students.
