Biography

Kimberly Hammaker is a Palm Beach County native and a fourth-generation educator. She has taught in Palm Beach County public schools for seven years in grades 2 through 9. She also has experience teaching English as a Second Language online to students in China. She is passionate about inquiry, arts integration, and discussion-based learning, especially with English Speakers of Other Languages and students with exceptionalities, and has trained at High Tech High, the Kennedy Center, and Philips Exeter Academy. Mrs. Hammaker has served as a presenter and facilitator for the Inquiry Project Collaborative and was named North Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year in 2019. She loves to read and write and looks forward to volunteering in national children’s literature festivals every year. She lives locally with her husband Ben, and they enjoy spending time with their church community at Providencia West Palm Beach.
