The Department of Public Safety

For Your Peace of Mind

At PBA, student safety comes first. We devote substantial resources to our Department of Public Safety Office to ensure that all students feel safe anywhere on campus, at any time of the day or night. From campus patrols and escorts, to emergency communications and hurricane preparedness, we’re dedicated to providing the safest environment possible.

Always Watching

We employ nearly a dozen safety and security officers who patrol campus—on foot, on bicycles and via marked vehicles—24 hours a day, seven days a week. All of our safety officers undergo rigorous training, are certified by the State of Florida and have access to instant communication with dispatchers and patrol supervisors.

Easy Access

With 22 emergency call boxes strategically located across all areas of campus, you’ll never be far from security assistance. These call boxes are well lit, and you can use them to make on-campus or 911 calls. They also feature a 9-911 button in cases of extreme emergencies, which dials directly to West Palm Beach Police.

Keeping You Informed

There are a number of proactive safety services and technology resources designed to keep students informed about any safety issues at all times. These include PBA Alert and RaveGuardian: The Safety Mobile App. We also offer extensive information and resources with regards to hurricane preparedness. Some of these include social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as email listservs, campus cable and telephone systems and the PBA website.

At Your Service

Please don’t hesitate to contact the  Department of Public Safety Office at (561) 803-2500 or CAMPUS_SAFETY@pba.edu with any questions regarding the services we provide to the PBA campus community. Our office is located at the northeast corner of Borbe Hall.
