Why Palm Beach Atlantic University?

Christian Healers

When your compassionate heart and calling to heal finds a proven and distinguished School of Nursing, powerful things happen. At PBA, we offer some of the most respected nursing programs in Florida, characterized by exceptional labs and facilities, opportunities to apply your skills in real-world settings and serve those in need.

Physical, Spiritual and Sociocultural

In the School of Nursing, we strongly believe, and teach our students, that true healthcare involves sociocultural understanding and spiritual encouragement in addition to the physical. You’ll find opportunities for hands-on learning in local hospitals, clinics and community outreach programs, as well as internship programs and service trips through both the School of Nursing and the Gregory Center for Medical Missions. And upon the successful completion of your first semester of your junior year you’ll qualify to work as a nurse technician at most local hospitals.

Own Your Experience

Our nursing programs are among the best in Florida. And we’re one of the few Christian university nursing program in the state that’s nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). As a student here you’ll have access to advanced patient simulation resources and nursing lab technologies. With concepts of faith at the center of everything you experience, you’ll gain a more well-rounded preparation. And we offer a program for high school seniors who, upon meeting the qualifications, can be pre-admitted to the nursing program.

Distinctively PBA

PBA is known throughout the region for the quality of nursing graduates we produce each year. This is a result of our proven curriculum and exceptional instructors who serve as student mentors and bring decades of real-world experience. Other distinctives include:

  • Christ-Centered Experience—concepts of faith and biblical principles are at the center of everything nursing students experience.

  • Holistic Approach—we strongly believe, and teach our students, that true healthcare involves sociocultural understanding and spiritual encouragement in addition to the physical.

  • Advanced Labs and Technology—you will benefit from training with the most advanced nursing lab technologies and patient simulation resources, preparing you to step in and succeed on day one.

  • Personalized Learning—you will be guided by expert faculty who bring years of nursing experience at places such as Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center; Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida; Good Samaritan Medical Center; and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
