You have an interest in continuing instrument studies, reading, notating, arranging and composing music or singing and improvising melodies. And, you desire to share your interests with students as a music teacher. The major of music education, grades K-12, at Palm Beach Atlantic University is the right course of study for you. This program creates musicians who combine artistic and musical integrity with Christian character.

Professional Certification Requirements:

  • Graduate from PBA’s Florida state-approved initial teacher preparation program
  • Achieve passing scores on the General Knowledge (GK) Test, the Professional Education (Prof Ed) Test, and the Subject Area Examination (SAE)
  • Send your Official Transcript to the Florida Department of Education in Tallahassee
  • Receive your letter of Eligibility from the Florida Department of Education
