Program Details
The Studio Art program combines hands-on artistic practice with art history, design, cultural study, and a Christ-centered liberal arts education. Through studio coursework, exhibitions, faculty mentorship, internships, and independent projects, students develop technical expertise while discovering and refining their individual artistic voices.

Students explore multiple studio areas through core and elective coursework, including drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, digital photography, graphic design, watercolor, stained glass, and digital graphics.
Students must also complete a minor or second major to complement their Studio Art studies and broaden their academic and professional perspectives.
Students in the College of the Arts develop their work in creative studio environments that support drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, digital art, and other artistic disciplines. PBA’s Art Gallery provides opportunities for students to exhibit their work, including student showcases held throughout the academic year.

Students build professional and creative experience through studio projects, exhibitions, internships, independent art projects, study abroad, and faculty mentorship. Students may choose to complete an internship in their field of interest or an independent art project under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
Students also have opportunities to showcase their work in PBA’s Art Gallery and student exhibitions while developing portfolio-worthy work across multiple artistic media.
