The Play Therapy concentration is designed to provide advanced training to students in Counselor Education program working with children and adolescents. Although The Play Therapy concentration does not directly certify individuals in Play Therapy; however, it can be listed as a graduate concentration in Play Therapy as part of one’s credentials.

The four courses are designed toward meeting the education requirement for the national credential of Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. For more information on how this program may prepare you, please contact the program coordinator. Applicants should also contact the Association for Play Therapy to verify the requirements needed to be registered as a play therapist.

Theatre, B.F.A.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) is the standard higher education track for those who seek a profession in the visual, fine, and performing arts. Admittance into B.F.A. programs are highly competitive. For theatre, the B.F.A.’s focus is studio work (typically 2/3rds in program), rather than general liberal arts studies (1/3rd in program).

Psychology, B.S.

The undergraduate psychology program at Palm Beach Atlantic University will educate you in the content and methods of various sub-specialty areas of scientific psychology, and will critically evaluate them from a Christian perspective.
