Watch Kobi’s Story

In this video, Kobi Thomas shares how studying Ministry Leadership at PBA and competing on the men’s soccer team helped him grow spiritually, lead a Bible study, and deepen his calling to pastoral and sports ministry.

Highlights of Kobi’s Story

Kobi Thomas came to Palm Beach Atlantic University through the encouragement of a friend who had experienced the school firsthand. What stood out to him immediately was PBA’s strong ministry program and Christ-centered environment, which made a lasting impression as he considered where to continue his journey.

As a Ministry Leadership student at PBA and member of the men’s soccer team, Kobi felt God pulling his heart toward ministry as he continued growing in soccer. At the peak of his athletic career, he sensed a clear call from the Lord to obey and step into a new season of faith and purpose.

One of the most powerful ways God worked through Kobi at PBA was through a Bible study he started on his soccer team. What began as a simple act of obedience grew into a weekly gathering of 10 to 12 players who met to grow in Christ together. Seeing God expand that group deepened Kobi’s faith and confirmed the calling he felt on his life.

Kobi says PBA helped him grow spiritually by weaving God into every part of campus life. Prayer before class, faithful professors, and a community of people devoted to Christ created an environment unlike anything he had experienced before.

His God-Sized dream is to become a pastor and lead a nonprofit organization that uses sports to bring people to Jesus Christ. Through his time at PBA, Kobi has seen how God can use athletic leadership, Bible study, and ministry training to shape a life of impact.
