West Palm Beach, Fla. (May 14, 2026) – Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) is launching an exciting new service initiative through Workship, PBA’s flagship community service program that responds to human needs with Christ-like action, focused on giving back to the many communities that make the United States great.
This summer, PBA250 will encourage students and alumni across the country to complete 250 acts of service in just 30 days, all in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The campaign takes place June 1-30. Acts of service can include volunteering with registered charities, service through a church or ministry, volunteering at K-12 schools, and service with federal, state, or local agencies.
“The PBA250 campaign focuses on serving others and reflecting God’s love through Christ-like action, and preserving the ideals that have made our nation great,” said Laura Bishop, executive vice president of advancement. “This initiative empowers PBA students, staff and alumni to give back to their communities while celebrating what makes our nation great.”
Students, alumni, and even employees can get started anytime on or after June 1, and students are eligible to obtain Workship credit by submitting their hours through the Workship portal.
“We can’t wait to see our PBA community members serve their country through PBA250,” said Nathan Chau, Workship director. “Whether it’s helping out at a food bank, a senior center, or a community cleanup, these acts of service are the perfect way to celebrate our nation’s birthday and remember that the United States isn’t just great because of an important historical declaration—but because of how its people show up for their community.”
To date, PBA volunteers have provided more than 4.5 million hours of community service across the USA since the program was launched in 1968. Learn more and sign up for PBA250, at https://www.pba.edu/campus-life/christian-community/workship/250-acts-of-service/.
