West Palm Beach, Fla. (May 6, 2025) — On Friday, May 9, Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) will host three ceremonies to celebrate the remarkable achievements of its Class of 2025.
Scheduled for 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Rubin Arena, Greene Complex for Sports and Recreation at the university’s West Palm Beach campus, the ceremonies will celebrate more than 700 graduates earning bachelor’s and graduate degrees. The day’s activities will also feature an Open House from noon. to 7 p.m. so graduates can share the occasion with fellow students, faculty, families and friends.
The 2025 Commencement Ceremony will begin with a performance from the PBA brass ensemble and will welcome PBA alumnus Emin Toro, judge, United States Tax Court, as the commencement speaker. Born in Albania, Toro received a bachelor’s degree from PBA, summa cum laude, and a Juris Doctor with highest honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He has served in numerous public offices, including as a law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and as a law clerk to Associate Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court. He was appointed to the U.S. Tax Court by President Donald J. Trump in 2019.

The Class of 2025 includes more than 400 graduates earning bachelor’s degrees across various disciplines, over 200 students earning master’s degrees, and 67 candidates for doctoral degrees.
The university will also recognize Outstanding Graduates from each School (College of the Arts, Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. School of Business, School of Education and Behavioral Studies, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Catherine T. MacArthur School, School of Ministry, School of Nursing and the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy).
