He co-authored Synergistic Collaborations: Pastoral Care and Church Social Work, seeking to extend outreach ministries and new ways to collaborate with community organizations as they serve hurting people.

Grenz is passionate about mentoring and equipping emerging young Christian leaders for the church and the world. He also enjoys serving churches through interim pastoring, consulting, leading the student ministries at his church, speaking at retreats, and preaching at local churches.

He and his wife, Susan, are the parents of Jesse, who graduated from PBA with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity, and Phoebe, who graduated from PBA with a Bachelor of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies.
