Biography
Christine Bourgoin joined the nursing faculty at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) in 2024 as a Visiting Instructor of Nursing. Prior to her full-time faculty appointment, she served as a Graduate Student Coordinator/ Clinical Coordinator for the School of Nursing at PBA’s Orlando campus and worked as an adjunct instructor. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2021) and Master of Science in Nursing (2023) from PBA. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree through PBA’s Executive Leadership track and is expected to graduate in December 2026, with a scholarly focus on advancing stroke care education for hospital nurses and administrators. As part of her faculty role, Christine also serves as an upper-level nursing academic peer tutor, a role she is deeply passionate about, supporting student success and confidence across advanced nursing courses.
Following her undergraduate education, Christine began her clinical career as an intensive care unit nurse, specializing in neurocritical and medical-surgical ICU care. Her clinical experience informs her teaching across a wide range of courses, including pathophysiology and pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, community health nursing, senior preceptorship, clinical instruction, and ATI-focused coursework.
In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Christine has participated in international mission work in Panama and a nursing immersion experience in El Salvador. She is actively involved in her faith community at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration, Florida, and married her husband, Jacob, in June 2025.
