A.S., Waubonsee Community College; B.S., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; M.S., Northern Illinois University.
Upon arrival to Florida, Sara Browning immediately registered for the Master Gardener
Program for Palm Beach County. As an MG volunteer, she helps educate the public on
gardening that is friendly to South Florida's environment. A member of La Leche League
International, she completed accreditation to become a leader in January 2004. As
an LLL leader, Sara leads monthly meetings and accepts help calls from breastfeeding
mothers. She has been published in LLL's bimonthly journal "New Beginnings," as well
as participates in outreach events like baby fairs and World Breastfeeding Week in
the first week of August to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an
important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother. She is married
to PBA physics professor Fred Browning and is proud mother of Alice, Jill, Molly,
and Chamberlain. The family attends St. Ignatius Cathedral together.
