9 - 9:50 a.m. - Nursing Panel (Lassiter Rotunda, Warren Library)

10 - 10:50 a.m. - “Befriending Our Story” by Sarah Claire Smith, LMHC, clinical psychotherapist and soul care director. All of us have a story. How can becoming curious about our stories bring about healing and connection in our lives? How can we create safe cultures in which we can explore how our life experiences have led to the way we love? How can befriending our stories lead to resurrection, health and flourishing in our relationships with each other, ourselves and God? Let’s get curious together. (Lassiter Rotunda, Warren Library)

11 - 11:50 a.m. - “Sharing Stories that Heal” by Dr. Stephanie Bennett, PBA professor of communication and media ecology. The growing chasm between friends and families who can’t find ways to talk about differences threatens our personal relationships in families, work, and church circles and throughout the wider public.  Conversations of reconciliation are much needed.  Approaching them as holy opportunities to share our stories instead of our ideologies is part of the way forward, part of the path toward healing. (Lassiter Rotunda, Warren Library).

Noon - 1 p.m. - Lunch and Breakout sessions (Warren Library)

  • Creative Writing, led by Stephanie Cassatly
  • Biblical Storytelling, led by Dr. Kathy Maxwell
  • Student Art Exhibit, Tauni De Lesseps Gallery in the Warren Library

1 - 2:30 p.m. -  “The Healing Power of Writing” with author Stephanie Cassatly. Writing is an act of discovery. As we write our stories, our stories write us. (Lassiter Rotunda, Warren Library)
