The architects behind Palm Beach Atlantic University’s (PBA) Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Business Hall, Leo A Daly and Foster + Partner, were awarded the American Institute of Architects Palm Beach (AIA) Merit Award of Excellence. PBA’s Associate Vice President of Construction and Facilities Curt Brown, and Construction Project Manager Keith Raymond, were a part of the building project and collected the award alongside the architects at a ceremony on September 9, 2026, at The Breakers Palm Beach.
This award recognizes outstanding examples of recent, commissioned projects of a public, societal and/or institutional nature within Palm Beach County. To be eligible, the project must be designed by Florida-registered architects who are members in good standing of the Palm Beach Chapter of the AIA.
The Rinker Business Hall opened in March 2026, and is the first capital project of PBA’s God-Sized Dreams campaign, which has since its launch in 2022 surpassed $126 million.
The 125,000-square-foot, six-story structure is home to PBA’s AACSB-accredited Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. College of Business and features: A 300-seat tiered Titus Lecture Hall, a state-of-the-art stock trading room with Bloomberg terminals, multi-purpose classrooms and collaborative learning environments, the Center for Financial Literacy, the LeMieux Center for Public Policy, the Raney Center for Free Enterprise, the Titus Center for Franchising, and the Center for Global Leadership.
“It is a tremendous honor to receive this recognition,” said Dr. Debra A. Schwinn, president of PBA. “The business hall stands as a testament to our commitment to the ongoing growth of our University. It is purposefully designed to foster dynamic, hands-on learning opportunities for our students while also providing valuable spaces for businesses and the broader community. We are deeply grateful to our donors and all of our partners who brought this vision to life, including Bill Hanser and the team at Leo A Daly, Joni Brinkman and the team at Urban Design Studio, and Matt Mahoney and the team at Moss Associates.”
