Biography
Rev. Dr. Shawn Allen is an ordained Baptist minister who has served congregations from several Christian traditions for three decades up and down the East Coast.
After nice years adjuncting at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Dr. Allen helped launch Voices for Change, a preaching initiative partnership between PBA and the Lilly Endowment.
As the first graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s PhD program in Practical Theology, Dr. Allen’s scholarship and ministry leadership focus on facilitating missional unity. Dr. Allen is the Lead Facilitator for the Church+Nonprofit Think Tank, a national network of Christian catalyzing missional collaboration, and he continues to lead Community Life, a nonprofit inspiring Christians in Palm Beach County to answer Jesus’ prayer for unity by meeting their community’s needs together.
