Biography

David Athey is the author of two novels, Danny Gospel (Bethany House, 2008), Christopher (Sophia Institute Press, 2011) and a collection of poetry, Hunting and Gathering Heaven (Bellowing Ark Press, 2000). His poems, stories, essays and reviews have appeared in dozens of national literary journals, including Harvard Review, Tampa Review, California Quarterly, Seattle Review, Southern Humanities Review, Christianity & Literature and The Iowa Review. His haiku have been published in Japan, England, Serbia, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland and Canada. Athey is the founder and faculty adviser of the PBA literary journal, Living Waters Review. He also organizes the PBA Book Club and produces Student Literature Night.
