School of Nursing
Take the uncertainty out of your professional life! The School of Nursing offers you a (GAP) guaranteed acceptance program if you enroll as a freshman and maintain certain minimum criteria. We offer a Baccalaureate of Nursing (BSN) and the curriculum is spread over five semesters (2.5 years). Or, you can apply to the nursing upper division in the first semester of your sophomore year. If accepted, you'll take three nursing courses in the second semester of your sophomore year. Our exciting courses include Human Anatomy, Chemistry, Nursing of Families and Communities and many more.
Upper Division nursing students are leaders of the Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF), PBA Student Nursing Association (PBASNA) and Social Committee. Lower Division nursing students may be members of the NCF and Social Committee.
We offer state-of-the-art technology to enhance student learning including simulation labs, computerized testing and a variety of computer learning activities in the computer lab and online for convenient studying at home.
As a graduate of the PBA School of Nursing, you'll also be required to purchase and use PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) that will provide you with essential clinical resources.
The Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) nursing major is selective. Admission to the University does not constitute admission to the upper division nursing major. A separate application must be made in accordance with the School of Nursing Admissions Policy.
In addition to the admissions policy, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Nursing Student Handbook (pdf). All new nursing students are required to abide by the policies in the Handbook.
