Summer Campers Can Explore Health Sciences


A nursing student helps science campers.Calling all scientists and innovators entering grades 1-12: experiment this summer with Palm Beach Atlantic University's Center for Integrated Science Learning and explore the world of health sciences.

Camp dates: June 6-10, 2022

Two groups (based on student’s incoming grade for Fall 2022)

  • Summer Science Camp: Grades 1-5, $325/student/week
  • Summer Science Institute: Grade 6-12, $400/student/week

Science Camp (1st- 5th)

Students will investigate health sciences and aspects of human and animal anatomy through lab experiments in the classroom and active exploration in the great outdoors. Topics include vision, hearing, body mechanics, nutrition and cardiology.

Each group will have two PBA student camp counselors, along with PBA university professors.

Dates: June 6-10

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Extended childcare is available at an additional cost.

Lunch is not provided- students must bring their own lunch/water bottle/snacks.

Science Institute (6th- 12th)

Students will explore how the body works and how it can be applied in health care fields. They will learn about anatomy and physiology in the science laboratory, including organ systems, respiration, cardiology and body mechanics. Alongside the Nursing and Human & Health Performance Departments, students also will have a hands-on approach to understanding applied health fields like nursing and physical therapy.

Times: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
