Sailfish Men's Soccer Remains Second in United Soccer Coaches Poll

The 'Fish get ready for another match against rivals Lynn University today at 7 p.m.

The Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer team remained No. 2 in the latest edition of the United Soccer Coaches Poll that was released on Tuesday.

The Sailfish were victorious in their lone match of the week, defeating Barry 3-2 in overtime after being held scoreless until the 85th minute. The 'Fish (10-0, 4-0 SSC) saw goals from the head of Marc Hebbeker and the foot of Jack Burrows within a minute of each other to force overtime. In the extra session Claudio Rivadeneira scored after a slick passing sequence with Juan Pablo Puelma to give PBA the victory.

Coach McMahon's squad is one of three teams undefeated in conference play along with Nova Southeastern and Florida Southern. The Mocs are also undefeated on the season at 9-0 and are No. 8 in this week's poll, moving up a spot. Nova Southeastern jumps into the rankings at No. 18 and is joined by Florida Tech at No. 24.

Simon Fraser University remains at the top spot after picking up a 1-0 win over Concordia (Ore.) in their lone match last week.

The 'Fish are back in action today after a weekend off from competition. PBA will host county rivals Lynn University at 7 p.m. at the Rinker Athletic Campus.
