Orlando Campus Students, Employees Adopt Family at Christmas

Toys and a bicycle were among the gifts donated to a family in need by faculty, staff and students at PBA's Orlando Campus. Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) is a private, accredited, Christ-centered college located in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA.

Traditionally during the Christmas season, the faculty, staff and students at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Orlando campus collect toys and donate them to a local organization. This year, however, many said they felt the need to make their efforts more personal.

The Orlando campus adopted a family of five who needed help providing Christmas gifts for its children. Working together with the organization Christian Help, individuals donated gift cards and more than $400 in cash, as well as new clothes, shoes, a bike for the eldest child and toys for all of the children.

The family is experiencing financial hardship from unexpected medical expenses for one of the children, as well as job loss by one of the parents, volunteers said.

PBA's Orlando Campus is located in the Millenia Lakes One building on Millenia Boulevard in south Orlando, just off of Interstate 4. The campus offers bachelor’s degrees in ministry, psychology and organizational management and master’s degrees in counseling psychology and leadership.
