B.Pharm., Universidade Estácio de Sá (Brazil); Ph.D., Purdue University.

Dr. Brust earned a B.Pharm. from Universidade Estácio de Sá in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry and molecular pharmacology from Purdue University. Before joining PBA, Dr. Brust was a postdoctoral research associate at the Scripps Research Institute. In 2018 he joined the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy at PBA as an assistant professor. Dr. Brust enjoys interacting with students and mentoring them on research projects. His research combines molecular with behavioral pharmacology to study the function of adenylyl cyclases and how these proteins can be targeted for treating pain and depressive disorders. During his free time Dr. Brust likes to exercise and spend time with his family. He and his wife, Isabelle, are active members of Sand Harbor Presbyterian Church in Jupiter.
