Adjunct Professor of English Composition

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses in English Composition as part of our General Education core, with instruction including expository and persuasive writing and the research paper.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree with at least eighteen credit hours at the graduate level in English, including literature and rhetoric and composition. Adjunct Professor of Forensic Science

The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach one or more courses including a general education course “The Science of Criminal Investigation” and two upper level forensic courses for Forensic Science majors. 

Qualifications: M.S. or Ph.D. in Forensic Science, or a minimum of 18 graduate credits in forensic science with an M.S. in another science discipline.  It is preferred that the candidate have previous teaching or working experience in Forensic Science.  Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. 

 

Adjunct Professor of Humanities

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach interdisciplinary courses in the Humanities core classes, including a study of art, history, literature, music, and philosophy in a Christian context.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree with at least eighteen credit hours at the graduate level in art, history/political science, English/literature, or philosophy. Humanities sequence classes available: HUM 1013, HUM 1023, and HUM 1033. Applicants must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework. Adjunct Professor of Psychology

The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate psychology courses. Classes may include General Psychology, Marriage and Family Dynamics, or Lifespan Development, with some opportunities to teach upper-level electives in psychology within the expertise of the adjunct. 

Qualifications: Doctorate or Master’s Degree in psychology, graduate degrees in closely-related disciplines will be considered, with at least 18 graduate psychology credits.  Ph.D./Psy.D. desirable.  Must have a Christian commitment along with the ability to intentionally integrate Christian faith in coursework.

Qualifications: Masters degree with a minimum of eighteen credit hours at a graduate level in journalism, photography, digital media production, or closely related field and significant professional media experience including a thorough familiarity with professional DSLR cameras, lights and Adobe Photoshop. Required: Masters Degree in Nursing, Florida Registered Nurse, BLS/CPR, 2-3 years of full-time teaching in nursing. Post Masters graduate work leading to doctoral degree in nursing or related area highly recommended. 

Responsibilities: Teaching BSN nursing students in both class and clinical environments in the areas of medical-surgical, psychiatric, or maternal/child nursing. Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.

Required: This position requires a terminal degree (PharmD, MD, PhD). Residency and/or other clinical experience desired. Adjunct faculty participate in the instruction of Doctor of Pharmacy students via a number of instructional methodologies in courses commensurate with the candidate's expertise and the School's needs.

The Orlando Campus is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach American Free Enterprise this summer. This course is delivered in an evening accelerated format for adult students over an eight week period. 

Course description: This course will apply classical economic theories and principles in an evaluation of the American free enterprise system. Philosophical worldviews as well as current macroeconomic and microeconomic concepts and issues will be presented and discussed to provide a basis for evaluating the performance of the U.S. economy.

Biblical & Theological Studies

Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Ministry is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Position in Biblical & Theological Studies. 

Qualifications:   This position requires a Master of Divinity, but preference is given for a Ph.D. or Th.D. in Old Testament, Hebrew, Systematic Theology, Biblical Studies, or Apologetics. Strong competency and skill set in African-American, Latino, or Haitian culture is required.  Fluency in Spanish or Creole is a plus. Experience teaching upper-level undergraduate or graduate courses in Biblical Studies is desired. Experience in church ministry is strongly desired. Must have a Christian commitment along with the ability to intentionally integrate Christian faith in coursework. All faculty in the School of Ministry are required to affirm the World Evangelical Alliance’s Statement of Faith, in addition to PBA’s statement of Guiding Principles.
