Gregory School of Pharmacy

Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice
Type: Full-Time Faculty

Palm Beach Atlantic University's Gregory School of Pharmacy seeks a 12 month, full-time faculty member for a position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for didactic teaching in courses/topics appropriate to the candidate's expertise, with a desired emphasis on internal medicine/inpatient care. The candidate will additionally develop and/or maintain a successful clinical experiential practice at a local healthcare facility, contribute to operational aspects of the School of Pharmacy, and engage in research/scholarship in the associated areas of expertise. 

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency. A PGY-2 and/or academic experience in Internal Medicine is preferred. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in Florida. The candidate must demonstrate a Christian commitment and a willingness to integrate one's faith into teaching and mentorship. 

Assistant/Associate Professor of Social and Administrative Sciences

The candidate will contribute to operational aspects of the School of Pharmacy, and engage in research/scholarship in the associated areas of expertise. An interest in Pharmacoeconomics is preferred.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency or PhD in an applicable area of health economics or outcomes. Additional experience preferred. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in Florida. Director, Assessment and Accreditation

Palm Beach Atlantic University seeks an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice in West Palm Beach and Belle Glade, Florida.

Job Duties: Provide student instruction related to the prevention and/or treatment of select, public health-focused infectious diseases, including Pulmonary Tuberculosis & HIV. Provide course coordination and instruction expertise in Critical Pharmacy Knowledge V&VI and the Patient Care Skills with Lab; facilitate student learning groups in the case-studies series, a problem-based learning course sequence; maintain a clinical practice site in a rural hospital focusing on improving patient safety through transitions of care and medication management through interprofessional collaboration as well as serve as a preceptor to 4th year pharmacy students in a 4-week advanced practice experience rotation. This position involves a 50-50 split between on-campus and clinical practice site responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements: Position requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy. Candidate must demonstrate a Christian commitment and a willingness to integrate one's faith into teaching. Must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Florida.


School of Nursing

Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program

Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Nursing is seeking a Full Time Faculty Position in DNP, Nurse Practitioner Program. 

Qualifications: This position requires current Florida ARNP License (or eligible) with National Certification in APN Population - Family. Doctoral degree required, DNP or PhD in Nursing preferred. Minimum five years teaching experience, online teaching preferred. 

Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing

Qualifications: This position requires a Master's Degree in nursing, Florida Registered Nurse, BLS/CPR, 2-3 years of full-time teaching in nursing. Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional course work. Recommended: Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field. 


School of Arts & Sciences

Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology

The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Biology faculty position at the university's main campus in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. This is a full-time faculty position to teach lower and upper division biology courses. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in human and/or animal physiology or marine biology. The teaching load is 24 contact hours annually. Faculty members are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, be active scholars in their fields, participate in service to the university and the broader community, and demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith. The minimum requirement is a Ph.D. in biology completed by time of appointment. The Department of Biology is committed to the academic success of its students that includes advising and mentoring.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Political Economy

The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Political Economy. The faculty member would offer both graduate and undergraduate political economy classes focusing primarily on development economics, international economics, development policy, and international relations. Most teaching responsibilities are for the graduate Global Development program, which offers students the opportunity to study global development in an applied and academically diverse setting. Of particular interest are candidates who can demonstrate cross-disciplinary work and the application of those studies to the likely career paths of our graduate students. Foreign development experience highly desirable. A record of work in development studies or sustainability studies is preferred, though experience in other related fields will be considered. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required. 

Assistant/Associate Professor of Chemistry

The School of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Chemistry. 

Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred. M.S. required. The Department of Chemistry, Forensic Science, Oceanography, and Physics seeks a chemist who can teach chemistry courses for underprepared students, pre-nursing students, as well as coursework in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and courses appropriate to the candidate's background. Excellent teaching is required. Limited research with undergraduate students is expected. Applicants, who are qualified to teach physics or forensic science courses, would be given special consideration. Must have a Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith with traditional coursework.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Management

The Assistant or Associate Professor teaches classes in his/her discipline, advises students, conducts scholarly activity, and serves on committees. 

Qualifications: Required to hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a business field (Management, International Business, Marketing, Accounting or Finance) and 18 graduate credit hours in Management. A person who has completed all but a dissertation for an earned doctorate will also considered to be qualified. Preference will be given to candidates whose terminal degree was earned at an AACSB accredited business school.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology

PBA’s Department of Psychology in the School of Arts and Sciences is seeking a dynamic educator to join our department at the university’s campus in Orlando, Florida.  This is a full-time faculty position with administrative responsibilities.  It requires day and evening availability since courses in the psychology program for working professionals are taught in the evenings. 

Faculty members are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and advising, be active scholars in their fields, participate in service to the university and the broader community, and demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith. 

The successful applicant will have experience teaching some of the following psychology undergraduate courses: General Psychology, Lifespan Development, Personality Theories, History of Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Procedures in Counseling, Statistics and Research Methods in Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Integration of Psychology and Christianity, Psychology of Religion, Research Practicum, or other psychology electives.  A doctorate in psychology is required. 

The faculty member will also be responsible for overseeing the undergraduate psychology program at this campus.  Successful candidates will have experience in leadership and administration.
