Mr. Miller has followed a dual career of teaching and not-for-profit business management,
starting as a full-time continuing education instructor for Kalamazoo Valley Community
College. He then took the position of executive director for the Kalamazoo County
Guardian, Inc., an agency established by the local social services network to serve
legally incapacitated persons. While building and solidifying the service agency,
he continued to teach business, marketing and economics courses for Kalamazoo Valley
Community College and later for Davenport University.Subsequent positions included
director of administration for A.R.C. of Kent County, executive director of Michigan
Foster & Adoptive Parents Association and executive director of Grand Rapids Youth
Commonwealth. Miller then returned to full-time education as the business department
head for one of Davenport University's satellite campuses, where he taught business
and economics course online as well as in the traditional classroom. He also cultivated
and mentored adjunct instructors and served as the college's liaison to the local
business community. Miller served as the second president of Michigan Guardianship
Association, is a published author of articles for Christian magazines and serves
as a career ministry trainer/facilitator at Christ Fellowship Church.
