University. Dr. Jim Laub arrived at Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2005. His dissertation
and ongoing research has focused on the critical topic of servant leadership and organizational
health. He is a facilitator, a trainer, a speaker, and a tool-maker for organizational
effectiveness. He developed a unique degree program (minor and second major) in Leadership
on the undergraduate level at Indiana Wesleyan University and served as the first
faculty for the Doctorate in Organizational Leadership at IWU.
Prior to Indiana Wesleyan, Dr. Laub spent twelve years in the South Florida area
with World Servants while serving as the Associate Regional Field Director for the
Southern Region Office of Youth for Christ. He is the creator the Organizational Leadership
Assessment (OLA) which measures organizational health from a servant leadership perspective.
He is the author of several leadership training programs including Community Leader
Training and Youth Leader Training. Dr. Laub has provided training both nationally
and internationally including work in the Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Mexico,
and Ecuador. His previous work in the inner city of Miami and rural areas of West
Virginia has prepared him to work in a variety of organizations providing expertise
on issues such as leadership development, team building, and organizational development
He grew up in Florida where he met and married Barbara who works as an Occupational
Therapy Assistant. He has two daughters; Joy, a neo-natal nurse at Duke Hospital in
Durham, NC and a Masters student at Duke, and Jenny, who is married and works as an
audiology Assistant in Fort Lauderdale.
