Dr. Nathan Lane research interests lie in Old Testament theology, hermeneutics and the prophets. He is especially interested in finding connections between the old dangerous texts of the Hebrew Bible and the new dangerous times in which we live. He understands his life calling as helping Christians understand how the story of the Old Testament matters in our lives. Dr. Lane recently published The Compassionate but Punishing God which examines the canonical parallels of Exodus 34:6-7. He has also published a chapter in Early Christian Literature and Intertextuality, several entries in the New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible and has presented numerous papers at both regional and national scholarly meetings. He is married to Kristi McHugh Lane.  They both love ministering in the local church are passionate about adoption and foster issues. They have two sons, Trey and Kolton, and a daughter, Kiyah.
